After many years of working in the hospitality business, from running all types of restaurants and hotel food and beverage operations to exclusive private country clubs, we have always produced results for our companies. Between the two of us we have opened several restaurants and catered numerous affairs from elaborate weddings to PGA golf tournaments. Now we work for the ultimate boss: YOU!

We fell in love with Puerto Rico immediately when we moved here in 2006. From the rich culture, warm and friendly people and natural beauty - we love it! When searching for a location, we really wanted a "burger shack" on the beach, with cool ocean breezes and a laid back attitude. Wear shorts and crocs to work? Who woulda thunk it... We've always loved hanging out at the Luquillo Kioskos enjoying ice cold beers and great food and felt that the location was just perfect for our concept! Kiosko # 12 gave us a blank slate to work with in creating a restaurant we hope you will love. Our Philosophy
At El Jefe Burger Shack you're the BOSS! Our goal is to make great tasting food with the best ingredients we can find, price them reasonably and serve them in a fun, friendly, clean and casual environment.  

Why grind fresh chuck steak daily? Why bother to work with a local bakery to create a freshly baked bun for our burgers? Why make our dressings and sauces from scratch? Because it just tastes better and you deserve it.

The Food
We source the freshest ingredients available for all of our menu items, using local whenever possible and everything is prepared from scratch.

The Bar
We offer a full bar including a wide selection of beers, wine and our El Jefe Special tropical drinks including homemade rum punch, pina coladas, mojitos and a selection of non - alcoholic beverages.We also offer a selection of fine cigars from our humidor.

The Team
Every member of our team understands that they play a critical role in making you happy. They are a dedicated, enthusiastic and fun bunch who can't wait to serve you!

The Atmosphere
An oasis of fun where kids can get creative and color their menu and the kids at heart can help us sign and design our autograph wall. The interior design can be described as Caribbean casual and features artwork from local artists along with an ecclectic set of music tracks.
